Research Interests
Fiona Webster is an Associate Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She holds a status appointment with the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation and is a cross-appointed Scientist with the Wilson Centre for Medical Education and an Academic Fellow with the Centre for Critical Qualitative Health Research (CQ). She holds a PhD in sociology in equity studies from the University of Toronto and has trained in critical qualitative and ethnographic approaches to health research including institutional ethnography. She is currently leading a CIHR funded study to explore ethnographically the social organization of primary care for patients with complex chronic pain and also holds a CIHR New Investigator Award for this program of research.
