Our group is interested in the physiology of Gram-negative and Gram-positive model bacteria. We also develop systems to visualize mutations in evolving bacteria. Furthermore, we are interested in second messenger-mediated signal transduction, mechanisms of gene regulation, moonlighting proteins, minimal organisms and in the biology of phages.
