I am interested in examining ocean biogeochemical processes, as well as fish population dynamics, using numerical model tools and observations. My research focuses on the influence of large-scale climate variability modes, such as ENSO, MJO, NAO and AMO, as well as anthropogenic climate change, on coastal and open ocean ecosystems. Currently, I am investigating carbon dynamics to identify coastal ecosystem susceptibility to ocean acidification patterns in the Gulf of Mexico and US East Coast.
