个人简介
Fabiano Oyafusoobtained both his PhD in Physics and Masters in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2001. His doctoral thesis focused on the development of comprehensive simulation of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers. Since then, he has been a staff member at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory with a diverse set of interests, including the modeling of thermoelectric materials and electronic transport in nanostructures. He was an early developer of the NEMO-3D software, a tight-binding-based solver to compute the electronic structure of quantum dots. In recent years, he has focused principally on atmospheric science with several publications on the modeling of Titan's atmosphere and on the development of remote sensing software for NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO-2) Mission.
