Dr. Matsui is an expert in two-dimensional photoelectron spectroscopy. He has been investigating the surface analysis techniques based on synchrotron radiation.
He is interested in: investigation of phase transition and separation of spin-related materials using microscopic valence band visualization and momentum-resolved microscopy methods combined with soft-x-ray resonant photoexcitation, fostering young researchers at the synchrotron radiation facility, and establish advanced international frontier joint research.
