Bio
Fred Goesmann obtained his PhD in physics in Dundee, Scotland, in 1992. He is currently Principal Investigator (PI) of the COSAC instrument onboard the Rosetta Lander Philae. His research interests include the study and occurrence of organic molecules in cometary ices and he is furthermore PI of the MOMA instrument that is designed to land on Mars, where organic molecules might be detected as well. Fred Goesmann works at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Katlenburg-Lindau.
