Engaged in evaluation and selection of sorghum genotypes with desirable qualities for domestic and industrial uses. The target industries are malting and brewing, baking, feed and agrochemicals. The ultimate goal is to increase production of sorghum in Kenya, with multiple benefits which include; improve livelihood of farmers engaged in agribusiness production of sorghum for industry, improved health by consuming sorghum food products, improved food security and enhanced industrial growth.
