Bio
Emma Asbridge received the B.Sc. (Hons) degree in applied marine
biology from Bangor University, U.K., in 2012. The degree included a one-year internship in the Australian Institute
of Marine Science, Townsville, QLD, Australia, working within the Responding to Climate Change team. In 2013, she
received the Honours degree from the University of Central Queensland, Australia, where she researched the impacts of
major flood events for coral recruitment. Since 2014, she has been working toward the Ph.D. degree in the Centre for
Ecosystem Science at the University of New South Wales, Australia, where she has been investigating the response of
northern Australian mangroves to climate and environment change.
Her research interests include response of coastal ecosystems to climate change, remote sensing and biogeography,
coastal change mapping, and mangrove carbon dynamics.
