Elliott Campbell

I am working on quantifying and valuing ecosystem services in the state, using a novel method of reconciling ecological work and economic value, termed the eco-price. We released an online tool, called the Parcel Evaluation Tool housed on the online Maryland Greenprint viewer, which generates a conservation scorecard and ecosystem service report for any land parcel in Maryland. I also represent the Department on Maryland Climate Mitigation Working Group and the US Climate Alliance's Natural and Working Lands group, where I work on quantifying the GHG benefits of forest planting, management, and wetland restoration in the state. My expertise lies in systems ecology, ecological economics, carbon accounting, and ecosystem modelling.
