Elisabetta Mileo currently works at the Laboratoire Bioenergetique et Ingenierie des Proteines (BIP) MARSEILLE (UMR7281), Aix Marseille Universite et CNRS. Elisabetta is a chemist and a spectroscopist with a deep experience on the synthesis and use of nitroxide radicals as spin probes and spin labels in the domain of supramolecular chemistry and Site-Directed Spin Labelling coupled to EPR spectroscopy. In last years she worked on the synthesis of new spin labels and to the development of both protocolsand methodology to efficiently graft the new probes on tyrosine and cysteine residues on proteins. She strongly believes that, at present, SDSL-EPR needs to expand its application field towards the “in-cell” study. She is particularly interested on chaperone proteins.
