Dr. E. Kopp is a Senior Economist with the International Monetary Fund, currently covering the US economy and financial sector. Previously, he worked on various Financial Sector Assessment Programs, the economic adjustment program for Portugal, and Italy’s financial sector. Before joining the IMF in 2012, he was an Economist with the Austrian central bank and Assistant Professor of Finance with Vienna University of Economics. His research interests include macro-financial risk, financial stability and regulation, liquidity risk and asset pricing, scenario analysis, and macroeconomic and financial forecasting.
