Eleonora Alexandrovna Braga

I graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University with honors in 1967, then postgraduate studies there at the Belozersky Laboratory of Bioorganic Chemistry, and in 1973 I defended my Ph.D. thesis for a candidate of chemical sciences. From 1972 to 1985 I worked at the VA Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology, Russian Academy of Sciences as a researcher. There I started working in the field of genetic engineering. From 1985 to 2013 I worked at GOSNIIGENETIKA as a leading researcher. There I began to study molecular oncology and epigenetics. From 1999 to 2001 I worked at the Karolinska Institute in the Laboratory of Microbiology and Tumor Biology as a Visiting Lead Scientist. In 2008 I defended my dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences, and in 2010 I received the title of Professor of Molecular Biology. From 2013 to the present, I have been working at the Institute of General Pathology and Pathophysiology as the head of the laboratory of pathogenomics and transcriptomics. I had grants from INTAS, RFBR, and RSF. Now I have a grant from the Russian Science Foundation.
