Evan B. Brooks received the B.A. degree in mathematics and physics and the M.A. degree in mathematics from the University of North Texas, Denton, TX, USA, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and the M.S. degree in statistics and the Ph.D. degree in forestry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2010 and May 2013, respectively. He is currently a Postdoctoral Associate with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. His future career plans include a combination of research and teaching in environmental and remote sensing applications of statistics and informatics. His particular research interests focus on time-series-based monitoring and communication of climate change issues.
