Dragan Milic

Dragan Milić, PhD, Associate Professor, was born in Loznica in 1976, where he completed elementary and high school. In 2003, he completed his bachelor studies in the Agricultural Economics study program at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad. At the same faculty, he got a master's degree in 2010 with the topic "Estimation of the value of the capital of an agricultural company using the yield value method" and defended his doctoral dissertation in April 2015 under the title "Methods of valuation of agricultural land". Since 2003, he has been employed at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology, where he teaches undergraduate, master's and doctoral studies in a large number of subjects within the scientific field of Accounting and Farm Economics for students at Agroeconomic course, Agrotourism and rural development course, Water Management course, as well as a large number of biological courses. He was a mentor and a member of the commission of a large number of bachelor theses, master's theses and PhD dissertations, as well as the mentor of three successfully defended doctoral dissertations. So far, he has independently or as a co-author published over 130 scientific papers in national and international journals with a total competence index of 310. He is a papers reviewer in several national and international scientific journals. He was a participant in a large number of national projects financed by the Ministry of Science and the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, as well as a large number of international projects financed by foreign funds. So far, he has participated in several projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, where he is the manager of two short-term and one long-term project. Since 2018, he has been the head of the Department of Agricultural Economics at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad. He has been a member of the faculty Council since 2015. Since 2013, he has been special advisor to the Minister of Agriculture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Since 2015, he has been appointed as the President of the Audit Committee of JP "Srbijašume" Belgrade. In the period from 2016 to 2020, he participated in the work of the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the APV as a consultant. In the period from 2016 to 2021, he held the position of President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Lowland Forestry and Environmental Protection from Novi Sad. From 2021, he was appointed by the founder as a member of the Council of the Faculty of Forestry, University of Belgrade. On behalf of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Novi Sad, since 2020 he has been performing the function of President of the Board of Directors of the National Research Center Agrokampus in Temerin. Since November 2014, as a consultant - advisor to the general director of "Mitrosrem" a.d. Sremska Mitrovica, he has been helping management in the field of business consolidation and improvement. Since 2020, he has been engaged in JP "Vojvodinašume" as a consultant in business process improvement. As a consultant for the economic and financial field, he participated in the preparation of more than 250 property and capital valuations, over 100 privatization programs (companies mainly from the agricultural and food industry), as well as a large number of investment plans and projects. Also, as an expert in the field of agricultural economics, he participated in hundreds of audits of financial reports of companies, as well as analysis of business plans and other investment and projects. He was a national consultant of the World Bank regarding the reform of the pension disability insurance system for farmers in the Republic of Serbia. He is an expert in the economic and financial field, registered in the Register of Experts at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia, as well as a licensed real estate appraiser registered in the Ministry of Finance Register. His area of professional interest relates to assessment and evaluation in agriculture, as well as to the improvement of the operations of agricultural farms and companies. He is a member of the Association of Agrarian Economists of Serbia (DAES), the Scientific Association of Agrarian Economists of the Balkans, the Association of Judicial Experts "Vojvodina" Novi Sad and the National Association of Appraisers NUPS. He speaks Russian and Slovak. He is married and has three children.
