Dominique Ramirez

I am a third year graduate student in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder. My current work generally focuses on the mechanisms of protein association. I specifically study liquid-liquid phase separation particularly of coiled-coil proteins. I use molecular simulation (MD) to investigate this phenomenon, in the lab of Dr. Michael Shirts. My previous work was as a research technician at the CSU Animal Cancer Center with Dr. Daniel Gustafson, located in Fort Collins CO, specializing in cancer pharmacology and analytical chemistry.
