In our research on covalent and supramolecular polymers, we combine nanobeam X-ray diffraction and nanocalorimetry to explore the correlations between the local-scale structure and thermodynamics of these complex systems. Trying to understand the interplay between the structure formation processes operating at different scales and phase behavior is a very motivating and challenging task.
