Bio
Our research is focused on the mechanisms of muscle wasting and subsequent recovery when any. We have a major interest in the regulatory mechanisms of the ubiquitin proteasome system and autophagy. Research encompasses basic approaches (catabolic C2C12 myotubes) and work on atrophying muscles from animal models of muscle wasting and on muscle biopsies from either catabolic patients or elderlies.
