Dezhang Chu

Dezhang Chu received the B.A. degree in electrical engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree in geophysics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1989. He was a Postdoctoral Scholar from 1989 to 1990 and a Postdoctoral Investigator from 1990 to 1991, both with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI), Woods Hole, MA. He currently is a Research Specialist with the Department of Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering, WHOI. His research interests include acoustic scattering, wave propagation and reverberation in shallow water, acoustical signal processing, and sea-floor characterization. Dr. Chu is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America.
