Dr Salahub’s interests are in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry, especially in the theory and applications of Density Functional Theory. His most recent work involves a multiscale approach to bio-and nanocatalytical reactions in complex environments. He has published over 335 research papers and four edited books and has delivered more than 500 invited lectures nationally and internationally. His publications have been cited over 20 000 times and his h-index is 68. The deMon software that originated in his laboratory is used by hundreds of researchers around the world. In 1998 he became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, and in 2006 he was named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
