Delphine Labbe

Delphine Labbe Is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois in Chicago, in the department of Disability and Human Development. Her research focuses on social participation of people with disabilities by looking at interactions between the person and their environment, and developing interventions that promote inclusive communities. Her work has looked at different environments, including housing and public spaces like shopping malls and neighborhood . Another interest of Dr. Labbe’s is health promotion of people with disabilities through adaptive leisure and recreational physical activity. Her research highlights interdisciplinary teams and uses various qualitative and mixed methods approaches such as interviews, photovoice, Q-methodology, and surveys.
