Davood Solatialkaran

Davood Solatialkaran (Member, IEEE) was born in Tehran, Iran. He received the B.Sc. degrees, both in electrical engineering and pure mathematics from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, and the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), Tehran, Iran, in 2010 and 2011, respectively, the M.Sc. degree in network protection of power systems form AUT, Tehran, Iran, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia, in 2021. From 2012 to 2017, he was a Power and Control Engineer with Enermonde Company in collaboration with Khuzestan Steel Company, Ahwaz, Iran. Since 2021, he has been with the Power System Performance Group, Powerlink Queensland, Virginia, QLD, Australia, as a Grid Controls Planning Engineer. His research interests include power electronics, optimization, and pure mathematics. Dr. Solatialkaran was the recipient of several awards, such as silver and bronze medals of International Mathematics Competition (IMC) in 2009 and 2010.
