个人简介
I co-direct McGill's Mobile Robotics Lab where my students and I pursue state-of-the-art solutions for robotic intelligence across many fronts. In Reinforcement Learning for continuous control (such as robots), our code and ideas have among the top known performance are widely used worldwide across many industries. We've developed some of the world's strongest perception networks to understand the geometry of objects in 3D and connected these with vision and touch sensing systems. Field deployments, made several times a year within Canada and worldwide including coral reefs of the Carribean Ocean, validate our technology and ensure we stay connected to the beautiful complexities of Earth.
I am committed to ensuring that the robots of the future become positive elements in the network that connects our world, its climate and biology, humans of all diverse goals and backgrounds, and other emerging AI agents. The MRL lab climate is a diverse and welcoming group of like-minded researchers purusing these goals. I look forward to connecting with collaborators and new aspiring roboticists here.
