David J. Ponting

Currently studying a variety of methods for predicting the metabolic fate, environmental degradation, and toxicity of diverse chemicals as part of the team behind the world-renowned expert-rule-based software of Lhasa. My postdoc, under Ann-Therese Karlberg, studied the effects of the epoxide group on skin sensitization potency. My PhD studies, under Jonathan Goodman, looked at the different parts - hapten and protein - of the key chemical reactions that lead to skin sensitization.
