个人简介
David G. Lancaster received the Ph.D. degree in experimental laser physics from Macquarie University in 1997. Subsequently, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Rice University, developing mid-infrared spectroscopic instruments for trace gas sensing, for three years. In 2000, he joined the Australian Defense Science and Technology Organization, as a Senior Research Scientist, where he focused on short to mid-infrared lasers for application within Electronic Warfare Systems. He has established and co-leads the Laser Physics and Photonics Devices Laboratories Group, University of South Australia. The laboratory’s research areas include short to mid-infrared waveguide lasers, ultra-fast laser processing of optical materials, optical fiber-based sensors, integrated photonic devices, and advanced photonic manufacturing. He is currently a Professor of Laser Engineering with the University of South Australia, and also a founder and CTO of Red Chip Photonics. He has published over 60 journal papers and several patents.
