His main areas of expertise are in the design and analysis of biomarker development studies and in clinical trials. He has extensive collaborative experience on a variety of basic science, clinical research, and clinical trials research projects, including those with members of the Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC), other UCLA Health Sciences Schools (Dentistry, Nursing and Public Health), and investigators at the CTSI partner institutions. Dr. Elashoff serves as the co-Director of the UCLA Master’s of Clinical Research program in which he teaches courses on clinical trial design, scientific communication, and statistical methods.
