We are fascinated by protein-nucleic acid interactions, and in particular how genomes are replicated, transcribed and translated. Our aim is to understand how genome expression and maintenance are connected to diseases to discover new possible therapeutic approaches. We use high-end bespoke microscope with a highly interdisciplinary mindset, mixing biology, physics and chemistry, to observe nucleic acid molecules and/or proteins one at a time, and uncover their hidden behaviour with great precision and detail. Our lab has two main research lines: RNA viruses and cellular transcription. The Dulin lab is the Junior Research Group n°2 “Physics and Medicine” of the IZKF-Erlangen Klinikum, and we are hosted by OICE at the Interdisciplinary Center for Nanostructured Films (IZNF) of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg.
