David Blane

I am an academic GP at the University of Glasgow. I was awarded my PhD in 2018 on "understanding the role of primary care in the management of co-morbid obesity". I am interested in mixed methods research related to multimorbidity and marginalised groups. I have a Clinical University GP Teacher post at the University of Glasgow, teaching on the Global Health iBSc and other medical school content. I am the Academic Co-ordinator for the Deep End GP Pioneer Scheme, supported by the Scottish Government's GP Recruitment and Retention Fund. I continue to work at least one day per week in clinical practice, based at Pollokshaws Medical Centre in Glasgow.
