David A. Czaplewski

David A. Czaplewski (M’76–SM’81–F’87) received the Ph.D. degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, working on MEMS devices encapsulated in a fluidic channel and novel micro and nanofabrication processes. He moved to Sandia National Laboratory and worked on Ohmic RF MEMS switches and the nanoelectromechanical switch DARPA program. He moved to Argonne National Laboratory, where he continued work on the nanoswitch program and continued to develop novel micro and nanofabrication processes. He expanded his research to include the design, fabrication, and testing of nonlinear MEMS and NEMS resonators. More currently, his research interests includes the realization of dielectric Huygens resonators for phase control of light in the visible spectrum.
