个人简介
Danilo Amendola received the M.Sc. degree in computer science and telecommunication engineering from the University of Calabria, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication technologies from the Sapienza University of Rome in 2017.
In 2017, he joined the Department of Architecture and Engineering, University of Trieste, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. He was an Adjunct Professor for the courses of computer foundations for two years. In 2018, he joined Leonardo-Finmeccanica Spa company working in the field of aerospace and defense. In 2019, he joined FCA–CRF (Fiat Research Centre), Trento, Italy, as a Senior Researcher and a Project Leader in European innovation projects. He contributes to flagship European projects on connected and automated transportation systems (C-ITS), automated vehicles (AD), and 5G network communication. In 2021, he moved to the Vicomtech Research Center, Department of 5G Digital Media, San Sebastian, Basque Country, Spain. He has been a delegated representative with Vicomtech, ETSI, in the technical committee on intelligent transportation systems (TC ITS ETSI) and at the industry specification group on multi-access edge computing (OSG MEC ETSI). In 2022, he joined the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of European Commission, Geel, Belgium, where he is currently a Scientific Project Officer. His research interests include counter-UASs, UAVs, 5G/6G, vehicular communications, multi-access edge computing (MEC), positioning systems, distributed communications, medium access control design, delay tolerant networks and ad hoc networks, multi-access edge computing, and innovative network architectures for vehicular communications and smart cities.
