个人简介
Daniela M. Ushizima is a research scientist in the Computational Research Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), and a consultant for the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center, U.S. Department of Energy. She graduated in computer science at the Federal University of Sao Carlos, and received her M.Sc. (2000) and Ph.D. (2004) in Computational Physics from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. From 2005 to 2007, she was a computer science professor at the Catholic University of Santos, Brazil, when she received the Young Researcher award from FAPESP. Her work focuses on the investigation of pioneering areas that require digital signal and/or images for pattern recognition - these data range from biomedical pictures to porous material micro-tomography for applications to carbon sequestration.
