Daniela is an Associate Professor at the University of Canterbury. Her research interests span all forms of human engagement with the Antarctic, with a focus on geopolitics and environmental management. She is currently a co-chair of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research’s (SCAR) Standing Committee on the Humanities and Social Sciences as well as of the Societal and Economic Research and Applications (SERA) task team of the World Meteorological Organization's Polar Prediction Project.
