Neurologist / Psychiatrist - My career is deeply invested in the bridging of neurology and psychiatry, two distinct but deeply interrelated disciplines. My leading research interest has been in lesional neuropsychiatry – the study of how focal brain lesions, e.g. stroke, can lead to psychiatric symptoms. My hope is that by studying secondary psychiatric disorders, we can develop testable, circuit-level hypotheses pertinent to “primary” or idiopathic psychiatric disorders.
