个人简介
Daniel J. King (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering and the M.A.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2018 and 2020, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering. His M.A.Sc. thesis involved novel devices and techniques for 5G communication and instrumentation which included leaky-wave antennas and metasurfaces.
He was a Visiting Researcher with the Communications Research Centre (CRC), Ottawa, where he researched metasurface design techniques and frequency-selective surfaces for 5G applications. His research interests include mm-wave antennas for 5G systems, planar electromagnetic devices, and mm-wave metasurfaces for beamforming.
Mr. King received the Undergraduate Senate Medal in 2018 and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship in 2018/2019. He spent the summer of 2018 at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he also received the Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS) Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship, researching mm-wave slot array antennas.
