Dan Lear

Dan leads the MBA IT and Data Teams and is co-ordinator for DASSH; the MEDIN accredited Data Archive Centre (DAC) for biodiversity data and the UK Node for OBIS (Ocean Biodiversity Information System). Dan has over 20 years experience in the creation and management of biological databases and their analysis using geospatial tools. He is involved in marine data management at the regional, national and international level, including key roles in OBIS, EMODnet Biology and the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC)
