个人简介
Damien Kinet received the licence degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences from the University of Mons, Mons, Belgium, in 1993 and 2014, respectively. His Ph.D. dissertation was on optical fiber Bragg gratings sensors embedded in composite materials.
In 2008, he moved to the Electromagnetism et Telecommunication Department, University of Mons. Since 2019, he has been working part time with B-SENS, Mons, a Belgian company offering complete solutions (sensors, interrogator, and interpretation software) based on Bragg grating sensors for the industrial sector. He has more than 20-year experience in the field of fiber optics and fiber-optic sensors. He started his career at the Applied Photonics Department, Multitel, Mons. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 scientific publications and international presentations. His main research interests were the design of fiber Bragg grating, the photosensitivity, and the effect of gamma radiation in optical glasses.
