Dr. Xu is the Executive Director of National Association of Reproductive Surgery and Fallopian tubes, the National Vice President of Hysteroscopy Group, the Vice President of Intelligent Medicine Group of Chinese Doctors Association, the Vice President of Academic Committee of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Hunan province, He is also a member of the Female Pelvic Floor Group of Obstetrics and Gynecology Committee, a member of Undergraduate Teaching Quality Supervision Committee of Central South University. He also has expertise in Clinical Skills Assessment of Medical Trainee in Xiangya School of Medicine, as well as government procurement assessment in Hunan Province. He is Editorial board member of China Journal of Endoscopy and China Journal of Modern Medicine, and is the Peer reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, (Journal of) Gynecological Surgery, Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Biology.
Dr. Xu specializes in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and research of intrauterine disorders, gynecological tumor, and female infertility and sterility, as well as practice and innovate techniques for minimally invasive gynecology. Dr. Xu has been awarded one First Prize, and two Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress Award in Hunan province. He is also award for the Best Video on Hysteroscopy in AAGL 45th Global Congress on MIG. Being in the forefront of clinical, teaching and research work for more than 20 years, he has accumulated abundant of experience. With the experience and skills of more than 50,000 hysteroscopies, He has a unique understanding of minimally invasive gynecology, especially specializes in hysteroscopy. Additionally, he has earned 2 research grants from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 3 provincial research grants. In addition, he is very interested in inventing new devices for potential clinical use, and have been authorized 13 national utility model patents and 3 national invention patents. Dr. Xu has published more than 40 articles as first author or the corresponding author, with 25 total articles published in Science Citation Index journals. He also published two books as chief editor.
