David Bekaert

After a PhD at CRPG (Nancy, France; 01/2017-01/2020), I moved to WHOI (MA, USA) as a postdoc fellow. My research mainly focuses on understanding the origin and evolution of life-forming volatile elements (water, C, N) within Earth's mantle and atmosphere. To this end, I mainly use noble gas systematics, combined with experimental and modeling approaches. More recently, my research activity aims at better understanding the future habitability of our planet, in relation to climate change.
