Darshan heads the ‘BiOME’ lab at IIT Bombay established to further research and education in Biomechanics, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Engineering in close collaboration with the medical fraternity and the industry. With a strong background in engineering design, coupled with an avid interest in human anatomy, he delves into the in-vivo (human), in-vitro (cadaveric) and in-silico (computational) techniques to understand the functioning of the human body from an engineering perspective.
