个人简介
Neurons form interconnected networks, with different components capable of reorganizing their form and function (plasticity). Our lab studies the spinal cord of the lamprey, a lower vertebrate, as a model neuronal network to address questions of network function and plasticity. The lamprey, unlike humans, is also able to recover from a spinal cord injury which initially leaves them paralyzed. We also study the mechanisms underlying this recovery.
