个人简介
David Hillerkuss received the Dipl.Ing. degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2008. In 2007, during the studies he did an
internship at Tyndall National Institute with Prof. Andrew Ellis, leading to his first publications. From 2009 to
2012, he performed the research for the Dr.Ing. degree at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he focused on
techniques for multi-T bit/s transmission systems, finally demonstrating 26 Tbit/s All-Optical OFDM and
32.5 Tbit/s Nyquist-WDM. From 2013 to 2016, he built up a new laboratory and a research group for cutting edge
fiber communication research at ETH Zurich, Zürich, Switzerland, performing research on real-time digital signal
processing, software-defined FPGA-based transceivers, optical access networks, multigigabit wireless, and novel
ultrafast plasmonic devices. In December 2016, he joined the Optical and Quantum Laboratory, German Research Center of
Huawei Technologies, Munich, Germany, working towards the implementation of next generation classical and quantum
communication systems.
