个人简介
Constantinos Vlachos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1971. He received
the B.Eng. degree in applied electronics from the Technological Educational Institution of Athens, Athens, in 1993,
and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in automatic control systems from Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool, U.K.,
in 1995 and 2000, respectively.
From 1998 to 2001, he was a Research Assistant with the Control Systems Research Group, School of Engineering,
Liverpool John Moores University. He then joined the BioComputing and Computational Biology Research Group, Department
of Computer Science, The University of Liverpool, U.K., where he worked as a Research Assistant from 2001 to 2004.
Since 2010, he has been an Electronics Engineer with the Electronics Laboratory, Hellenic Navy, Naval Weapons
Directorate, Salamis Naval Base, Greece. His current duties include the design and development of new weapon systems
for the Hellenic Navy, as well as the upgrade and maintenance of existing ones. He also teaches at Hellenic
Navy's Petty Officers’ Academy. He is an avid radio amateur (SV1PDA) and RF experimenter. His research
interests include adaptive and nonlinear control systems theory, robust and optimal control, global optimization
methods, and electromagnetic wave theory. He has designed numerous military and commercial electronic devices, mainly
in the field of feedback control systems.
