个人简介
I have been involved in teaching and research within higher education since 2007. I am an early childhood teacher educator with a focus on teaching and learning outcomes for students, learners, teachers, and teacher educators within a diverse transforming landscape.
My qualitative research efforts are situated at the intersection of three main research areas: early childhood teacher education, early childhood literacy curriculum and literacy pedagogy. As such, my scholarship of discovery is based on research endeavours that attempt to construct understandings of contextual realties, which inform the content for teacher education programmes for early childhood teacher education and early literacy knowledge and pedagogy.
In respect of my scholarship of teaching, my ongoing intellectual engagement is based on the theory of critical reflection in preparing teachers to teach in early childhood contexts that are diverse and filled with uncertainty and complexity.
Finally, I see my scholarship of engagement as an active pedagogy committed to connecting theory to practice in schools, the community, and academic institutions.
