Bio

Christopher K. Kepler received the M.D. degree from Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, in 2005. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, in 2010, and completed his fellowship in spinal surgery at Thomas Jefferson University/Rothman Institute, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor and the Spine Surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University/Rothman Institute. His research focuses on biological, nonfusion techniques to treat discogenic pain and techniques to improve the success rates of spinal fusion. His clinical practice, in addition to elective spinal surgery, has a substantial component devoted to reconstructive surgery after spine trauma as Thomas Jefferson University/Rothman Institute is a regional spine trauma and spinal cord injury tertiary referral center.
