My research focuses on the thermo-mechanical behavior of defense-related materials subjected to dynamic strain rates. This includes experiments to probe the fundamental deformation and fracture mechanisms that underlie ballistic events, including Kolsky bar experiments with different loading paths and highly instrumented impact experiments.
