A main research activity concerns the study of complex systems, in particular the development of new numerical methods to model and simulate phenomena in natural sciences, economics, social systems and bio-medical applications. Cellular automata, Lattice Boltzmann and multi-agent techniques are central tools to address theses questions. Parallel programs and algorithms are developed to implement the simulation on large PC clusters, supercomputers or GPUs, in order to discover, explain or reproduce new phenomena. Multiscale modeling and methodology is also a research topic.
