Cheng Wang

Cheng Wang received the BS degree in physics from Peking University, in 2009, and the PhD degree from the University of Texas at Austin, in 2015. He is currently a research scientist with Center for Brain-inspired Computing (C-BRIC), Purdue University. He worked as a staff engineer with Seagate Fremont Research from 2016 to 2019, developing magnetic devices for computer storage and memory applications. His current research interests include neuromorphic computing and stochastic computing using novel beyond-CMOS devices. Particularly he is interested in in-memory computing based on emerging non-volatile memories such as MRAM and ReRAM for low power AI applications.
