Cheng Nie

Cheng Nie (Member, IEEE) was born in Hubei, China, in 1985. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Hunan University, Changsha, China, in 2008, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2011 and 2018, respectively, all in electrical engineering. From 2019 to 2021, he was with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. Since 2021, he has been a SST Product Line manager with the TBEA Xi'an Electric Technology Company Ltd., Xi'an, China. His research interests include wide bandgap devices, modular multilevel converters, solid-state transformers, microgrids, and renewable energy.
