Chao-Yung Yeh

Chao-Yung Yeh was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C., received the B.S. degree in physics from National Central University, Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1980, the M.S. degree in physics from Utah State University, Logan, UT, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in optical science from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, in 1994. From 1994 to 1996, he was a Laser Engineer with Novatec Laser System, Inc., Carlsbad, CA. From 1997 to 1998, he was a member of technical staff with Lightwave Link, Inc., Burbank, CA. From 2000 to 2003, he was a Senior Photonic Engineer with General Photonics, Inc., Chino, CA. From 2005 to 2007, he was a project manager with Metal Industries Research and Development Center (MIRDC), Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He is currently an Optics and Lasers Consultant with MIRDC. His research interests are in the fields of ultrabroad bandwidth optical fiber communication optoelectronics, nonlinear optics, femtosecond laser oscillator and amplifier, ultrahigh intensity light-matter interaction, femtosecond laser micromachining, compact ultrafast solid-state laser and fiber lasers development, and CNT/Graphene Photonics.
