Economic cost and burden of allergy is significant worldwide, which can be difficult to manage and can prove fatal. I head the NeuroAllergy Research Laboratory (NARL) and Deakin AIRwatch pollen and spore counting and forecasting facility. The focus of my research is the environmental and molecular biology of allergens and the allergic reaction, including Epidemic Thunderstorm Asthma (ETSA) events, and identify novel inhibitors for allergy prevention and treatment.
