个人简介
She has been involved in integrated assessment studies, with special emphasis on large scale modelling of aquatic and terrestrial systems. Her research includes scenario analyses and evaluation of environmental policies aiming at simultaneous abatement of multiple environmental problems. Her field of study includes environmental systems analysis, with special focus on substance flow analysis and biogeochemistry, using multidisciplinary approaches and integrated assessment modeling. She co-developed environmental models, focused on understanding the relationship between human activity and coastal nutrient enrichment. One of these models is the Global NEWS (Nutrient Export from WaterSheds) model, a global, spatially explicit model that can be used to simulate river export of nutrients as affected by human activities on land.
